~: October.... how did that happen? :~
Crumbs, it only seems like we just started September, and here we are in another new month!
this is my 1st of the month photo for October, a bit of a quick shoot first thing as Emily was about to leave for school, I hope to have a better little shoot at the weekend and get some nice shots, maybe find a few ready for the GoGo Getaway- this month! Whoooo!
I seem to be really struggling with this blogging lark, never mind, I am trying hard not to stress about things and not get myself worked up about the little things.
Chillax, thats my new buzzword!

~: The last few days :~
I can't believe it's taken me this many days to blog about Emilys big milestone this last week- starting Big School!
Here she is on Thursday morning before she left for school.
She was excited, but rather nervous too.
I then spent the day looking forward to her arriving back home, wanting to hear how the day went.
Gladly when she did get home, she came through the door smiling having enjoyed the new experience.
Here she is with Adam just as she left in the morning- he too went back to school the same day.
Today we sold at a car boot-sale, for the second time this summer.
It was hard work, at times quite cold, but after 5 1/2 hours we had made about £160... pretty good and we have cleared a fair bit more space in the garage!

~: 18th August :~
Today is the 18th August. Today it is 19 years since a certain party.
19 years since I asked James to dance... and the rest is history.
Happy 18th August James. xxx
Piccie taken by Emily today whilst out enjoying a round of miniature golf in the sunshine at Springfields, with my mum and Dad.

~: Happy First Birthday Summer!! :~
I can't believe little Summer is now 1 year old!
On 1st August we went down to my brothers for the little Princess' birthday party.
We got there to find she had just a few days earlier started walking...
Cheryl had made a lovely cake for Summer...

And Emily and Adam as always loved playing with their little cousin.
After the party we stayed over at Grandmas, and the next afternoon the children were delighted when we took them over to a funfair in the park
Adam loved this horse ride
They both had fun in the funhouse.
Even I went on this ride with Emily...
The boys loved the dodgems...
then Emily was brave enough to go on the Twister with James!
And as always they let me take some nice shots of them

Another lovely weekend.

~: 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations :~
A couple of days after getting back from Devon it was James' Auntie Amy and Uncle Pauls 50th Wedding anniversary.
It was a lovely family celebration- a trip on a canal boat on the river at Stoke Bruern, a lovely meal together, wedding reception style, then everyone helped or watched, as they locked their canal boat up two locks.
Of course Emily and Adam loved riding on the boat, and it was great to spend the day with so much family.
Congratulations Amy and Paul on 50 happy years together.

~: 2 weeks down..... :~
Crumbs... another 2 weeks have flown by since i last remembered to find the time to blog.
It does make me question why I do this.... but at the end of the day I want to, it just always seems to take up so much time it is easier to put it off than to do it. lol.
Then I get annoyed with myself for not having got it done.
This is another reason why I want to get a laptop.
And not just any old laptop- it will have to be pink.
As my friend Elaine said
"it won't make it work any better, but it will make you smile".
"It" being pink, that is. :o)
I have pretty much decided now I will get a laptop rather than a netbook... but am still undecided between a Dell and a Sony Vaio.
I see plenty more thinking to come on that one... then there's the money side to ponder....
*sigh*
So what have we been up to these first two weeks of the holiday?
We went down to Devon for a few days last week, James had the week off work.
Monday we went to the Eden Project in Cornwall-
we thought it was a lovely place, a great day out, and the weather wasn't too bad- just a few light showers in the afternoon.
Inside one of the Biomes.
We discovered Adam can hula-hoop.
Lots of activities around for the children to do
Emily loved being given a bunch of freshly cut lavender.
Monday night it rained hard ALL night- not great when you're trying to sleep in a caravan!
So Tuesday morning we decided to find somewhere indoors in the dry... so Plymouth Aquarium it was.
Emily and Adam looking at the starfish and rays
We loved watching the big turtle swimming round and round
Wednesday was looking a better day weather-wise again- so we headed over to Babbacombe model village- a place I remember loving when I was a child.
I held an owl!
Of course as always Adam loved the trains...
As the weather was so nice we even managed to visit the moors on the way back that day for a little climbing over the rocks at Dartmeet...
And stroking of Dartmoor ponies
